For Apple workflows, see [macOS, iPad, and Octane X](/docs/prepare-your-scene/apple-and-octane-x.md).

The web app accepts `.orbx` and `.zip` files. Loose `.c4d`, `.blend`, and `.ocs` files need to be packaged before using the browser upload. See [Upload Scenes](/docs/web-app/upload-scenes.md) for size limits and how to upload ZIP files.

### Alpha and beta versions

The following prerelease versions are also listed:

* 2026.1-beta2
* 2024.1 Alpha 1
  {% endtab %}
  {% endtabs %}

If your version is not listed, [contact support](/docs/help/get-support.md) before preparing the production. Include your application and renderer plug-in versions, and whether you plan to submit a native scene or ORBX.

## Choose versions for a job

After uploading, open a ready scene and click **Create Job**. At the top of the form, **Host Application** identifies the application used by the scene. **Renderer** appears when the scene has a renderer plug-in.

The version selectors offer choices for that scene. Changing an application version can also change the available renderer versions. The application and renderer names themselves are fixed by the uploaded scene. The list also includes the version saved with your scene, even if that version is not supported. Check the tables above before relying on it.

{% hint style="info" %}
Render a few representative frames and check their outputs before submitting the full production.
{% endhint %}

For image formats produced by a render, see [Output configurations](/docs/web-app/outputs.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://know.rendernetwork.com/docs/get-started/supported-software.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
