# Delete projects, scenes, and jobs

Delete projects, scenes, and jobs, and choose which related scenes or jobs to keep.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Deleted items disappear from the app. There is no restore control, so [download any outputs you need](/docs/web-app/download-frames.md) before deleting their job.
{% endhint %}

## Delete a project

1. Open **Projects** and select one or more projects.
2. Click **Delete** in the action bar below the list, or right-click the selection and choose **Delete**. You can also use the delete icon in a table row or in an open project's **Attributes** panel.
3. If **Also delete:** appears, choose whether to include the related scenes or jobs. Each option appears only when those items exist, starts unchecked, and shows how many items it includes.
4. Click **Delete** to confirm.

Scenes and jobs you keep remain available in **All Scenes** and **All Jobs**, without the deleted project. The scene and job choices are separate: deleting the project's scenes does not also select its jobs.

To keep the project and only remove some of its scenes, use [Remove scenes from a project](/docs/web-app/projects.md#remove-scenes-from-a-project).

## Delete a scene

1. In **All Scenes** or a project, select the scenes and choose **Delete** from the action bar or right-click menu. The action is also available in a table row, the open scene's **Attributes** panel, and its **Activity** entry when offered.
2. If the scenes have jobs, a confirmation window shows their count under **Also delete:**. Leave the jobs checkbox unchecked to keep them, or select it to delete them too. Click **Delete**.

Jobs you keep remain in **All Jobs**, but you cannot duplicate a job whose scene has been deleted.

{% hint style="warning" %}
A scene without associated jobs is deleted immediately, without a confirmation window.
{% endhint %}

For a scene still uploading or waiting to upload, use [Cancel Upload](/docs/web-app/upload-scenes.md#cancel-an-upload).

## Delete a job

Select the jobs in **All Jobs** or a scene's jobs list and choose **Delete** from the action bar or right-click menu. You can also use **Delete** in a table row, a **Big Cards** card, the open job's **Attributes** panel, or its **Activity** entry when offered.

**Delete** takes effect immediately, without a confirmation window. The job disappears from job lists and **Activity**.

If a render is still running and **Delete** is not offered, see [Cancel, duplicate and rename jobs](/docs/web-app/manage-jobs.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://know.rendernetwork.com/docs/web-app/archive.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
